Technical Product Manager
About CloudX
At CloudX we’re building a new supply-side advertising platform for mobile publishers. We’re convinced that an AI-native product will significantly advance the state of the art in mobile advertising. We recently raised a $30M Series A to bring this vision to life.
Our founding team previously built MoPub (acquired by Twitter for $350M) and MAX (acquired by AppLovin). Our platform combines verifiably fair auctions with an AI-native product experience to give publishers unprecedented control over their monetization strategy.
About The Team
Our Product team works at the intersection of engineering, design, business development, and GTM. We’re small, distributed, and remote, with a strong ownership culture and a heavy reliance on asynchronous, written communication to stay aligned. We optimize for rapid iteration: ship, learn from customers, refine. Everyone has access to the latest AI tools, but rather than generating vibe-slop we use them pragmatically — to build faster, automate the busywork, and spend our time on the hard problems. As one of our first few product hires, you’ll have significant influence over both the product and the product culture we build around it.
What you'll do
We’re looking for a Product Manager who thinks like a builder — a sharp problem solver with strong opinions about what good looks like, who’s as comfortable shipping code as shaping a roadmap. You’ll work directly with Engineering, GTM, and our publishers to figure out what needs to exist and make sure what ships actually solves the problem. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Problem ownership: ingest feedback from publishers, demand partners, and internal stakeholders, separate signal from noise, and turn it into a prioritized roadmap that moves publisher happiness and revenue. You own the problem and you define what success looks like for what you ship, and how you’ll measure it.
- Build, ship, automate: prototype ideas, automate the manual and outdated processes that slow us down, and ship code yourself when that’s the fastest path to solving the problem. You’re a builder, not someone who throws specs over the wall.
- Product & UX judgment: hold strong, well-reasoned opinions about what good UX looks like and advocate for them, turning sophisticated advertising technology into experiences publishers find intuitive.
- Launch & adoption: partner with Success so every release is tested, validated, and reflects customer feedback, and with Marketing so launches go beyond shipping — customers hear about what you built and actually adopt it.
Who you are
We encourage you to apply if you meet these requirements:
- Builder mentality: you’ve shipped products you’re proud of — side projects, open source, or your own thing — and you can build, not just define. You’re comfortable prototyping and writing code to get something real in front of users, and you care deeply about craft.
- Technical fluency: you’re comfortable in technical conversations about APIs, SDKs, system architecture, and data flows, and you can hold your own with engineers.
- Strong written communication: you write clearly about complex subjects for different audiences including engineers, customers, leadership, and agents.
- AI forward: you use AI tools pragmatically — to build faster and automate the busywork — and you have a real sense for what current models can and can’t do.
- Early-stage mentality: you understand that success at a startup takes grit and determination. You have good taste when it comes to trading off speed vs. thoroughness. You don’t wait for permission; when you see a gap, you fill it.
While not required, we’re particularly interested in candidates with:
- Adtech or marketplace experience: you’ve worked in adtech, mobile, or other two-sided platform businesses, or you are very passionate about monetization.
- SDK or developer tools experience: you’ve worked on products where developers are the user — SDKs, APIs, integrations, developer platforms.
- Early product hire experience: you know what it’s like to build the product function at a company, not just fill a seat in an existing one.
In general, we’re looking for people with grit, passion, and talent. If you’re not sure this role is an exact fit, we encourage you to apply anyway. Many members of our team have had interesting career paths, and we relish the chance to work with extraordinary individuals.
